What does Asexual mean to you?
i noticed that even though Asexual accept other people's prides it seems Asexuality is labeled as wrong, it's wrong to not want sexual things or relationships. All my friends know I am Asexual and they accept that.
but other people just keep asking who or what I like and I just say none and they always have a look of disgust or confusion or even the need to argue about it. idk I feel like my pride is not accepted, my parents don't believe it and I always get the same response "oh hush you may not like like people now but later in life you are going to get married and have your own kids someday"
and this exact same response happens so much that I feel disrespected and not accepted by my own family. And I am gonna admit I have seen people who idk if I liked or like liked but I still don't desire a relationship. And when my family just keeps saying that response I just want to explode at them.
idk why I felt like writing this but writing out my thoughts is a form of therapy I guess and it seems to be working so yeah.
have a good 24 hours <3

I feel the same way except i haven't really told anyone im asexual
but i think you shouldn't mind them, it's dumb how people keep thinking love is mandatory like
you don't have to be married or have kids to be successful

and yea, I've felt disrespected too, but you don't have to change for anyone, sometimes you don't need respect from some people
and if they keep at it, just tell them off because they have no right to tell you otherwise
